Shelly Lou’s February News!
The BIG NEWS- I’m getting myself and my hats out of the house THIS SATURDAY and we are headed to the Grove City Brewing Co for Shelly Lou’s Valentine’s Sip & Shop. 10 of my favorite handmade brands will be set up with me. You’ll find all kinds of unique items for your Valentine (or YOURSELF) -homemade fudge, salsa, home decor, even a cool wallet made out of an old baseball glove!
Aside from shopping, you can enjoy craft beer, wine tasting, or the Saturday drink special – BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS! The brewery has a full menu created by their in-house chef. I personally love their gourmet pretzel with beer cheese. YUM.
The event is free and all ages are welcome! I hope to see you there!

Sometimes you need a little push from your friends…
to step outside your box- my friends Sarah Shambaugh and Tasha Braniff did just that to me in January when they said “Ok, we are coming over to do professional photos of you. Time to get it done!” As a business owner- it has been on my list of to-do’s. As a woman, I of course want to lose 20lbs before anyone photographs me. Ha! I had just been putting it off for too long! So, I agreed and they came by 2 weeks later with all their professional photographer gear!
As per usual, I had no idea what I was doing- thankfully they 100% know what they are doing so they just told me where and how to stand, suggested different elements to add to the photos and MOST IMPORTANTLY they made it fun and I was able to relax and enjoy the experience!
I’m looking forward to sharing the photos in newsletters, on my social media pages and on my new website! The pictures they captured were the perfect mix of business, products and mom life images. They are true professionals! Below are a few more!
Spring Open House coming in March!
My friends Cassy & Zach will open their storefront for the first time in 2019 on March 14. Zassy’s store and vendor markets are known for their vintage finds, local handmade items and beautiful decor. The storefront features 20+ local businesses including Shelly Lou’s Lids! The store is located inside Zassy’s Tap Room. The tap room was originally the old Grove City Lanes. Zassy’s took over the old lanes have have “Zassified” it- as I like to say. Its a beautiful mix of old and new- they found so many ways to incorporate the old bowling alley into their new space. You have to see it in person! They have an awesome menu and a full bar that includes local craft beer -and even just a plain old Bud Light (my fav!). Cassy also has a knack for crafting cocktails!
